"Lovely room, really well appointed. Quite warm but for March it wasn’t a bad thing, only gripe could maybe be that due to the nature of the property you do hear the upstairs rooms when they move about but such is life Dinner in the pub was brilliant, service was great even though it was quite busy (who’d have thought it on a Friday) and who I can only guess was the manager/ landlady was fantastic Will 100% be returning in future "

"Room was immaculate and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Unfortunately, we felt the quality of the food didn’t reflect the price. We paid around £100 for an evening meal which included two mains, a shared Camembert to start, and two drinks, but we didn’t feel the quality of the food justified the price tag. The meal itself was quite bland and lacked imagination. The sauce with the main was overly salty, and the bread was extremely dry, as though it had been left under a hot lamp for some time before being served. Breakfast was also disappointing. We again felt the food may have been cooked some time before serving. The mushrooms were dry and had very little taste, and both the meat and eggs had a slight fishy residue taste. Next time we would probably choose to have breakfast elsewhere. It’s a shame, because aside from the food, everything else about our stay was fantastic and the staff were lovely."

"Parking was very easy. Welcome warm & friendly. House was clean and bright. Breakfast was excellent. Full English really was a full English and of good quality. Scrambled egg was really good & good choice of jams & marmalade to go with toast. Choice of juices & cereals too which we didn’t use. "
