「We really enjoyed our stay at Volkhaus! Two Americans traveling to Switzerland, and we were very pleased with our room, the customer service, and location. Our room was large with plenty of space, but simple and easy. The beds were comfortable as well! We were close to everything we were looking for as well. Highly recommend!」

「The room is very spacious and comfortable with most of the necessary items included ! The bed is comfortable and big enough. I chose Junior suit for family stay which would not make us feel crowded. Though the hotel is no located right near Basel SBB station, it just takes 5mins bus (no.30 at station C next to Basel station) to arrive hotel. The surroundings of the hotel are silent and beautiful. I love this stay ! Moreover, the hotel provided us a card per head for taking the transport in Basel...

Das Frühstück ist sehr zu empfehlen, da Brötchen und Marmeladen selbst und frisch hergestellt werden. Auch konnte der Besitzer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stehen, wenn es um die Suche nach Restaurants ging. Sollte ich noch einmal "eine" Übernachtung benötigen oder gar Urlaub am Bodensee planen, ist das Hotel, Gästehaus und die Appartements meine erste...

The hotel itself is at great location, clean room, and free minibar provided. We had a wonderful experience staying in Marthof Hotel and will definitely stay here again next time when we come back. 」
