Hersheypark Stadium is an impressive open-air venue that hosts a variety of musical concerts and sports events. Lying between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, it is a cultural cornerstone of the region and has hosted many big names. Step into the rectangular arena and feel the excitement as the stadium lights up for night events.  

Regular high school and professional sports events take place in this atmospheric stadium. Come for one of the PIAA football and soccer championship games at night under the floodlights. Admire the innovative synthetic grass system. The soccer qualifying rounds for the 2000 Sydney Olympics were held here. For sports, it has a capacity of 15,641, while concerts can fit 30,000 fans.

Attend a concert at this iconic venue, which has hosted Matchbox Twenty, Counting Crows, Def Leppard and many others over the years. Join the standing fans in the center of the stadium for a raucous atmosphere. The arena is known for its impressive sound and lighting. 

Go to the concession stands to choose from the range of meals, snacks and refreshments. You can get draft beer, wines and spirits from the bars in the east and west grand stands as well as the vendors on the track and the courtyard. 

Construction first commenced on the arena in 1937, before it was completed in 1939 and then expanded the following year. Over the decades, the stadium hosted rodeos, athletics and musical performances and served as the summer home of the Philadelphia Eagles. Hersheypark Stadium is part of the Hersheypark theme park in the heart of the town of Hershey. It is just north of Spring Creek that runs through the town. Visit nearby attractions, such as adjacent Hershey’s Chocolate World as well as the Giant Center hockey arena and Hershey Theater.
