Good hotel

The view is wonderful and staff are really nice and helpful. They are wiling to support the tourist as much as they can. After check-out, it is allowed to leave the luggage and pick up during late evening. Thank you so much for the free-upgrade as a bonus gift for my honeymoon trip

The staff were very nice, helpful and kind. The hotel rooms were nice however their was no coffee/tea making facilities.

Wir würden 3 von 5 Sternen vergeben. Leider war die Sauna erst ab Mittags auf. Das Essen war im normalen Bereich, aber leider sehr teuer. 175€ für zwei Vorspielen, zwei Hauptgerichte und zwei Gläser Wein finde ich grundsätzlich schon recht teuer, aber das Essen war nicht übermäßig besonders, so dass sich der hohe Preis nicht rechtfertigen lässt. Hervorzubringen sind die Betten und die Zimmerausstattung. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

A very disconnected vibe in this hotel. Bit of a schizophrenic puzzle to navigate it. Newly renovated rooms had incredible views which was its winning grace. Loads trip hazards everywhere as no areas connected well across whole hotel. Very dark entryway and obscure check in area. Nice sitting outside by lake though. Breakfast good.

The hotel is a bit underwhelming on arrival and looks a bit faded. And it’s not modern or flashy. But it turned out to be excellent. Very quiet hotel so good sleeping, huge indoor pool that we had to ourselves much of the time, very nice breakfast and little things like really good sun loungers and a really charming outdoor seating area by the lakeside for breakfast. Lake swimming is a special experience too. The little town of Hergeswil is also much nicer to stay in that busy touristy Lucerne which seemed to lack any authentic charm unfortunately. The local bars, restaurants and shops are very good in Hergiswil as is the location for accessing Pilatus via Alpnachstad on the funicular railway.

Highly recommended

I love the breakfast buffet. So many breads, ham, cheeses, and more. The view from where I usually eat my breakfast was amazing, overlooking the lake or when it’s not raining, sit outside, have a drink of coffee and watch the ducks swim by or just enjoy the mountain/lake view. The location was about 6mins walk to/from the train station which made my travel to Mt Pilatus and Titlis very short. The front desk receptionist Linda was very helpful and assisted me when I needed something without hesitation. Great customer service extended to me by her. Thank you Linda! I appreciate you very much. The thing that I did not like during my stay was I can hear the people’s footsteps from above my room and when they pass by. Another is the configuration of the room where I was in. The foot of my bed was directly close to the door. Other than that the hotel is an excellent place to stay.
