「Nice and friendly staff, free car park. The mattress should have been replaced years ago and was very uncomfortable. No sound insulation between the rooms so you can hear everything going on in the rooms above and each side.
The hotel bar was like walking into the bar in star wars, so we eat at a local restaurant nearby

「Proper traditional English hotel! Centre of Hartlepool. Reception staff very friendly as were cleaning staff I met.
Quiet despite location and easy walking distance to transport networks.」

「Comfy room, generous towels.
Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service.
There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. A real asset to the Old...
