"The guard checked me in . Though I had booked for a garden view room , I was given a room without a window . The Ac remote didn’t work and I was awake till 2 PM due to excessive heat . The room looked like a chicken coop , the pillow were tiny and so uncomfortable . My day got ruined because of the discomfort . Looks like a property from Pahadgunj , they are trying to save on everything from toiletries to electricity bill . Not recommended , there are better properties nearby for a cheaper...

"数日前に予約したのに、それをスタッフが確認しておらず、着いたら1部屋しか用意してもらえなかった。信用出来ないので、次の日に新しい宿を探すことにし、2泊だけ泊まることにした。しかし、次の日も、アパートメントなのに、冷蔵庫もグラスも鍋も皿もゴミ箱もなく、キッチンと空の棚だけがあり、なんの意味もない。挙げ句の果てに、朝食を8時に頼んだが、8時20分になっても来ないので、受付に降りてゆくと、忙しかったけど今からやりますとのこと。来たのは8時40分。その食べたあとの皿は、夕方部屋に帰ってもテーブルの上に置いたまま。勿論、シーツもタオルもそのまま。追加のタオルを頼むと、無いとのこと。スタッフ全員がバイトみたいな若者で、英語も通じにくい、、、。ネパールでこの価格帯で合計200泊ぐらいしてますが、ここまで酷いのは、初めてです。 "

"Totale misleiding! Hotel was niet op de plek waar het zou moeten zijn in Kathmandu. Bij uitstappen uit de bus van Chitwan naar Kathmandu (centrum) bleek in Kathmandu alleen een Office te zijn. Het hotel zou nog 3 uur met de taxi zijn! Doel was juist om in Kathmandu te overnachten om de volgende dag vandaar uit te vliegen. Ter plekke ander hotel moeten regelen en veel irritatie. "For its location close to people I was meeting, hotel Himalaya is my choice always. This time I noticed they have done some renovation to the lobby and úpgrade if lift, that is good, but after check in I do noticed that the room is tied, bathroom also need upgrade - shower head is old and not one would expect on a premium hotel. Electrical had been around for a long time and a more complete upgrade of room is truly needed. Hence my rating of only good this time."

"The hotel is one of the latest constructions, involving latest earthquake requirements, food at breakfast is excellent, location is great as close to airport, less than 15min off peak and thus low-cost, walkable to explore Lalitpur which is very traditional with Unesco classified Museum and old buildings. Rooms are perfect to relax, all super modern with electric sockets taking world-wide plugs. The hotel GM needs to be highlighted as he takes takes care of welk- being of each guest. At the food area, breakfast changes every day with several managers running around advising guests on food and ensuring satisfaction. Ok small improvement possible... the French bakery side....croissants, petit pain of chocolat... they need to modify the dough receipe to bring them up to French or Vietnamese standards.... Seriously, when travelling to Kathmandu, take the opportunity to enjoy Royal Tulip, whether it is for business visit or tourism. Btw they conference facilities are top notch too. Keep in mind they are part of a big prestigious hospitality chain run by a GM with A background in Austrian hospitality education that is next to Swiss hospitality schools top in the world."
