「The Pub was excellent but the accommodation needs improvement 」

「This is a lovely hotel, we found the parking a little awkward and the food and drink wasn’t quite up to standard but nice enough. Beautiful rooms and bathrooms and staff nice and friendly. Did not like the wine here though :(」

「The staff were extremely helpful when we suffered a bad experience with our food on our first night's stay. Stick to the basic meals on the menu, like the burgers and fish and chips! We booked a bed, breakfast and evening meal deal for 2 nights, to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but, on reflection, should have booked everything separately, because we would be over £100 better off!! Apart from being placed at the worst, and least private, table in the restaurant, we only had a limited menu...

「The parking is limited here. The establishment changed owners earlier this year. The rooms have been refreshed, and are quite reasonable. Rooms at the front overlooking the road are extremely noisy from any passing people or traffic. The food menu has been substantially changed and it is now not as extensive or as well prepared. This used to be our go to place near the M5 if we needed an overnight stop in the vicinity, but no longer.」

「Some really good points to start. The location of the hotel is super handy for Gloucester/Cheltenham/Cotswolds etc the car park is large and free. We didn’t find any issues with parking. The room we stayed in for a week was their basic double and it was large with a comfortable bed. The room was serviced each day. We opted not to have their breakfast but did eat once at the hotel. The service was pretty slow and the bar service was also slow. We had a treatment in the spa it was very average....

「Nice village hotel and our check in and room were good on the face of it. Other than the guy who checked us in, staff was generally rude. We had booked for breakfast at 08:00 on the first morning, and having travelled the previous day from Asia ended up waking earlier and found ourselves waiting in the breakfast room around 7:10, hoping to be able to request breakfast at 7:30 when it opened.
