Hats off to the chefs for the range of delicious foods for the buffets. Sri Lanka is open and I’d recommend the Cinnamon Citadel as a great place to stay. "It was not quite what I expected. It was not 5 star by US standards, but it was ok. The mosquitoes were a bit much- having them in our bedroom and bathroom was annoying, but the staff did their best to help. Overall, it was ok, probably one of the better hotels in Kandy."

"Fantastic service from the staff. Great room with million dollar views. Most comfortable bed I have slept in Sri Lanka. Beautiful rooftop with great infinity pool overlooking Kandy lake. Very walkable location - to the city in minutes! The only negative is that the hotel could not handle the volume of guests at breakfast. Many dishes were empty and kept empty for ages. The hoppers we ordered took 2 hours to come! This was the day after the Randoli Perahera so is assume they were not equipped to handle this number of guests. Looking forward to staying here again. A true gem run by the nicest staff ever! "
