「The hotel is lovely. By their own admission the owners have a notice saying excuse us whilst we renovate. The lodge was fine, we didn’t really notice it wanted much done. The car park was plenty, the room was spacious and comfy. Great views out the back. Convenient for the area, we really liked it. 」

「Really nice property and very helpful staff. Area around the hotel is pretty, with lots of places to sit and watch the geese. Rooms are okay--be sure to get a "suite" or a double, as the single rooms are very small. Bathing facilities are pretty rudimentary--could use a shower seat or a bathtub. "Breakfast" is weak coffee and orange or apple juice.」

「Lamplighter Motel is a nice stay. It has the basics required and they let you know at check in that they won't be cleaning your room during your stay. This was fine for us. Very clean, comfortable beds, basic bathroom and our room even had a small refrigerator. Room also has cable tv and the shower was great. The check in was easy and the lady at the desk was very nice. The price was great so if you're looking for high end or extra amenities stay somewhere else and pay for that. This was perfect...
