This property is beautiful and quiet. Host is very nice and helpful. Location is great, many cultural sites within walking distance. Restaurants, cafes and small shops close by. Would definitely stay here again.

This property was amazing! The Hanok was immaculately clean and catered to our every needs. Such a unique stay! The staff were also super friendly and accomodating. Will certainly recommend this place for any and all who want a modern Hanok experience in Gyeongju!!

Beautifully refurbished traditional Korean private house with modern facilities. Very helpful host with lots of nice touches for guests. Very convenient central location with lots of restaurants, coffee shops, etc within close walking distance.

Sori Hanok Stay is beautifully designed and well maintained. The zen like suite has plenty of space with a balcony/terrace, and heated floors. The bed was nice and firm. The area surrounding the property was full of nice restaurants and shops. The welcoming gift of sparkling moscado and ramen noodles were a nice touch. I highly recorecommend this place when visiting Gyeongju!

Would love to revisit
It was a perfect blend of traditional with the comfort of modern world. Host was so welcoming and helpful. Location was prime yet off beat street nearby for peace and quiet. There are 3 units and we occupied 2 so I felt safe leaving my tween in the room while adults exploring at night.

In the heart of Gyeongju Hanok village
Perfect stay from a day trip in Gyeongju. Soi Hanok Stay is situated in the heart of the Hanok village, with many shops and restaurants nearby. The room is well furnished and provides an unique experience and atmosphere. It comes with a certain serenity vibe, which is consistent through Gyeongju.

Delightful Stay in Gyeongju
This was a wonderful location. The host was extremely communicative and reached out early to make sure we were able to find the location. We arrived slightly later in the evening and she came over to show us inside and explain various details about the stay. The location is quite secure with multiple electronic locks. The room I stayed in (Challa) was clean and charming. The renovations done by the host kept the original charm of the housing but also provided many modern comforts such as thermostat-controlled in floor heating, AC for the summer, a spacious and clean shower, and a separated bathroom. The room also contained a sink, fridge with some free water, a TV, a small table with cushions, a complementary bottle of wine and wine glasses, and some cup noodles and tea. As it was cold during my visit we greatly appreciated the heating and were comfortable sleeping and chatting in the room. Between the consideration of the host and the charm and comfort of the room itself, I would happily recommend this stay to anyone looking to experience a Hanok Stay and I would definitely stay here again if I return to Gyeongju.

A lovely property that is well centred. The parking is in a parking lot approximately 100 metres away. Exceptionally clean and very warm in the colder months.

Loved it!
It was our first hanok-style lodging experience, so we don't have anything to compare it to, but our stay overall was excellent. First, it was a beautiful property. They really paid attention to details and made sure the experience was as authentic as possible without compromising comfort. We also loved that the suite felt a bit removed from the other guests on the premises since we weren't sharing walls. Second, the place is right in the middle of Hwanglidangil, which is the epicenter of all the restaurants, cafes, and shops in the area. It was also a very short walk to some of the main attractions in Gyeongju. We really loved our stay at Soi Hanok and would stay there again if we are in Gyeongju in the future.

This property was spotless, comfortable, and beautiful. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and looked like it was recently redone. The location is fantastic, close to the ancient burial grounds, restaurants, and shops, Our hostess met us on arrival, walked us through the property, was quick to answer questions, stored our bags, and called us a taxi. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Amazing place to visit - beautiful traditional (but modern) Korean Hanok conveniently located to all the main sites in Gyeongju. We would highly recommend staying here - much more interesting than a standard luxury hotel. The property is built and maintained to very high standards. Our hosts were extremely helpful and communication ahead of and during stay was excellent. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Elegant and comfortable rooms, with charming window views, and conveniently located close to restaurants, stores, and many sights. Everything in the place was well thought of ahead. When we arrived, we were met right away by our gracious host who also very kindly booked us a taxi for our departure and saw us off. The only things we missed during our stay were a couple more towel hooks in the bathroom and a bench or chair in the entryway but those are minor quibbles that probably only North Americans would miss. Highly recommend and would gladly return!

Excellent stay in a large traditional hanok
The house was exceptional. It was a large Korean house with all necessary modern equipment, and furnished in a traditional way, creating a spectacular atmosphere. All was clean. Central location close the old town. The host was very helpful and friendly. We strongly recommend.

It’s an excellent property with modern amenities although giving a traditional Hanok stay experience. We love the side private room, with huge living area, where we could chill and drink wine and listening to music. The bedroom is comfortable with firm bedding, good support for back, with sliding doors to ensure privacy. Outside the bedroom on the other side is another room for sitting and enjoying tea, with windows one can open and look out to the courtyard. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to do that. Next time we will have to stay two nights. The property is located inside the historical area where most of the local historical sites are within walking distance. It’s very central if one is visiting Gyeongju.

This place was even better than the photos. The location is perfect! Walkable to everything you want to see. The host was very responsive to all of my questions throughout my stay. The hanok is a mix of old culture with very modern amenities with a focus on design. We stayed in the larger suite and it was so beautiful that I wish I had stayed longer. My friend stayed in one of the other units and that was also unique and charming. I look forward to returning to this adorable town and hanok.

Beautiful hanok in the center of Gyeongju, near the historical sites and many interesting shops and restaurants. Great responsiveness by the owner to questions, also received a lot of help in booking taxis to various places. Would 100% recommend.
