"Right in town and incredibly comfortable and quiet. The room is big so it was great having the fireplace and later the reverse cycle, so a nice option in winter. Gunderoo is definitely small but it’s an excellent option if you want to stay out of Canberra for the night and the food options are great."

"We sat down in the common area with snacks & our drinks. The staff had the fireplace lit. The rooms were wonderful. We had lunch in the area on the day of check in, we didn’t want to leave our bags in the car. Thank goodness we were able to get early check in. Love this place"

"I was assigned a room right next to the sliding door. I could hear the noise from the sliding door that opens and closes very often when people were coming in and out. I then asked for a room change. The new room was much better. However, when I checked out five days later, I was given a bill of $30 with a lunch charged to my old room. I remember that I never had that lunch. I only had breakfasts there."

"The staff, especially the guy at the breakfast dining area is awesome. The breakfast was relatively affordable and worth the price. Need to improve on the toiletries maintenance as there were no more hand/body soap on the dispensers."

"The hotel is modern, clean, and well-equipped. Breakfast was very good. There's not much within a walking distance of the hotel. Something we hadn't appreciated was that there is no free parking available on site. You can either pay to park or attempt to find street parking nearby. We chose the latter and were fortunate to find a spot within 200m or so. But the hotel didn't seem busy at the time so my guess is parking may be at a premium other times. Overall, a good hotel."

"We arrived just as reception was closing, got to our room to find no toilet paper. Called after hours number, no response. There was also 4 tissues left in box, not great. Bathroom shower pressure was amazing! Tiles were moldy, but otherwise bathroom clean. Bed not the most comfortable, linen clean. Carpets very stained. Was a very quiet location though and rooms nice and dark. Look, to be honest I probably would have rated it higher if it wasn't a bring your own toilet paper situation and if...
