The place is a true secret. Everything was great and it is a bit far from the city so quiet and in the middle of nature. Easy Didi ride. Bed is comfortable with a cozy room and nice super hot shower. Perfect for a get away! The tour guide Sud was also awesome so he can drive you arouns if you decide to go on a tour.

Free laundry service was awesome. Done the same day. Complimentary breakfast was also good. Not much variety but satisfying. The fresh fruit was especially good. Our conceirge took care of our needs immediately and with hesitation. The hotel also provide electric scooters which were free to use to get around wherever you wanted to go.

Xiaoming made our stay amazing! He was friendly and welcoming and always available to answer any questions and help plan your stay. The place is beautiful and quiet and relaxing. The room was comfortable and spacious. What great views. The breakfast was perfect and we spent the day using the electric scooter which was super fun. I completely recommend staying here and staying at least two days so you can appreciate the area. We regret not spending more time here. Definitely book here if you have the chance.

Very nice quiet location with beautiful views of the mountain. Very peaceful hotel and excellent service. They offered us plenty of fresh fruit during our stay. The bed and room was comfortable and clean. Totally recommend if you want to have a nice stay and rest.

One of my greatest stays in China. The owner is very friendly and thoughtful. Definetly you should stay more than one night. Hotel is also very clean, nice and authentic.

Great place in a little outside village, but not too far away to explore all Guilin sites. Perfect to do by electric scooter. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and arranges anything you need. The offered tours are great, as well, so you can see a lot in a short amount of time. If you want to visit Guilin, you have to stay in the Secret Courtyard Hotel!

The room's cleanliness was really good, all the things mentioned on expedia about this hotel were available. The hotel owner was really nice and went out of his way to make us comfortable. He was mostly doing all the work but fulfilled all of our requests on time. Would surely stay here again.

Excellent stay with helpful hosts

Lovely hotel in a cute village area. The staff are really helpful and friendly with a free laundry service that really helped! Breakfast was basic but lovely and the room was comfortable. It is worth noting that the area here in Guilin is not the area that you see all the bamboo boats etc and famous photos - this is further south in Yangshuo and you can do day trips from the hotel if you don’t want to stay down there.

If you are looking for amenities such as swimming pool, spa, and gym, then this hotel may not work for you. This hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood across from the busy center city, which is just a quick 15-20 minutes ride. Front staff is very helpful.

Nice, quiet option for groups of family or friends

Very enjoyable stay in a quiet village about 5km from downtown Guilin situated close to the famous Reed Flute Cave and an easy 10-min taxi ride into town. The villa had four bedrooms all with ensuites so perfect for larger groups of family or friends. A couple of good restaurants in the village offering excellent food. Our host Ming was very considerate and responsive, while our guide Qing handled all the tour arrangements very well and with a minimum of fuss, including free pickup at and dropoff to the High Speed Rail Station at Guilin Xi. They were excellent actually.

The service at this hotel was exceptional. I was very well taken care of, Especially since I was traveling alone. Communication was great and they helped me arrange tours getting to and from places in general With ease and no fuss. The tour guide they introduced me to, Qin Was amazing and I did two tours with him. I would highly recommend this hotel. I was sad to leave.

This was a pretty nice little hotel that is placed between the modern and the traditional. What I meant is that the room has a regular sit-on toilet, but the rest room in the main office has the squatting toilet. The room also does not have a mini refrigerator. I also felt that the bath doesn’t have adequate heating because it feels cold and the toilet seat was really cold. The room has a TV, but I couldn’t get it to turn on. The hotel is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel, but the manager smoked and at least one other man who helped me with the scooter also smoked. So, I often smelled cigarette smoking in different places and I felt I did a bit of second-hand smoking. I did not smell cigarettes smokes in my room though. The room was clean and I did feel comfortable sleeping in the bed with nice pillows and comforter. You do get a free scooter to ride around and it has a battery for about 30 kilometers. The hotel seemed very safe and it gives an old small Chinese village feel where there are a bunch of other similar hotels and family-style restaurants. While I was walking by the neighborhood, a little girl less than 5 years old came by and spoke Chinese asked me to stay in the hotel that her parents operates and maybe owns. That was really cute that I had to go inside with her to talk with her parents. They are so down to earth and friendly. Again, this is somewhat of a village that falls in between the traditional and modern that you can get a feel of, a nice vibe.

This hotel was wonderful. The staff prepped a snack pack for my adventures. They were friendly and super helpful. They made an amazing Chinese breakfast (or Western) every morning with coffee and an amazing fruit platter. The Guilin noodles were amazing. They provided transportation to and from the train station, which was nice. There was a beautiful view of sunset outside my window, a tea service, and fresh fruit and water provided always. There was no bathtub but I loved my stay. I would definately stay again. And the hotel is surrounded by a lovely shopping area and restaurants and street food. Plus a path, "covered bridge" and local attractions. I enjoyed it.

A dreamy experience

Like many people, we came to Yangshuo county and chose this hotel for the amazing view all around it. We did not know that the view was just the tip of the iceberg. The housekeeper Xiao Ming welcomed us carried our stuff when we arrived and was a wonderful housekeeper since then. We had moments where we'd text him at midnight for toilet paper or whatever and he'd answer immediately and comply. I have not expected the service to be this good. The rest of the staff has also been very helpful. My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week and we're leaving today. The only bad thing about this place is how addictive it is, you'll find it very difficult to leave. The beauty of the landscapes and the amazing hospitality of the staff, especially the housekeeper,made this an experience I can never forget. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
