"This wasn't our first time here. We have been before. I would say 7-8 years ago. Its beautiful, with such thought into hospitality. For a small little Northern Ontario Town i was AWESOWE! The hotel does need updates. Two essential updates in my opinion, are esthetics and comfort. I wasn't a fan of the No Water Bottles Filled with Water Rule. I recommend they provide a solution such as a possible water cooler, water fountain, or another solution and ensure its deemed safe to consume. Otherwise, my son had fun with his team in the pool, I slept well the second night as the other hockey teams' parents decided to have a quiet night. We were greatful due to early games. Night before was a NIGHTMARE. I was beginning to believe I was in a Robert Munsch Story....... with all the sounds, bangs, screams, and thuds. Essentially pure CHAOS.... All in all my son and I had a great weekend with a great team! Thank you. "

"Staff was friendly. Especially the young lad on 3-11 this weekend. Breakfast was delicious. Room could’ve been vacuumed a bit better. Was dusty. Someone in a room near us was smoking because it came through our bathroom fan and was very strong. It woke us up. But this of course, is not hotels fault. Comfortable beds. "

"Our bed was broken! There was only 1 person at the front desk so the check-in time was long. "

"I called and stated that I couldn't make it to the check in well before 1pm. I wanted to offer them the chance to rent the room to someone else since I had a sudden change of plans that impacted my arrival. I was told that because I went with Hotels.com that they couldn't refund me, although the worker stated he would speak to the owner to try and speak to Hotels.com to ensure it happened and that I would get a call back later. No call, and I was out the 82.xx. Not big money but I won't book through Hotels.com or Pine Ridge again after this."

"This is a gem for the price. Clean rooms. Lots of parking. Courteous staff. We stayed there for two nights during one of the storms prior to Christmas. I was bored, so I grabbed one of the shovels and did the exits on the two buildings as well as the stairs to the office. I was thanked by the manager and given a Tim's card, which was very nice of them (I didn't expect anything for my efforts). Will use this hotel again when travelling north."
