This place oozes charm. The manager/owner speaks impeccable English. We particularly enjoyed meeting Mimi, the incredibly friendly cat who (with a wee bit of canine assistance) diligently patrols the yard.

Very charming estate style French home with a wonderful host. Breakfast was simple, tasty, had variety, and felt local and homegrown. Entering the gate and getting to parking was pretty tight but if you are driving a car in France you should be used to that by the time you get there. Our hostess was very accommodating for the couple special requests that we had. The house is a 15 to 25 minute walk from sites and dining in the main town center of Bourges. Everything was unique about this place, the location, the warm and generous host, her dog Twiggy.
We had a delicious breakfast every morning including freshly made crepes.
At the last minute we were given a ride to the nearest train station !
I will never forget Nicole and her place.

Bruno de la Palme and his wife Marion were exceptional hosts. Bruno is extremely knowledgeable of local wines, local producers, and frankly general knowledge. His wine tours cannot be missed. Conversations were full of interesting facts and details, especially relating to wine. We were treated as if we were long lost friends staying at their home.

We absolutely loved our stay at Folklore Boutique Hotel in Sancerre. The hotel is beautiful, stylish, and full of charm—the perfect place to stay while visiting this wonderful wine region.
Our room was comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and felt both modern and very much in keeping with the character of Sancerre. The location was fantastic for exploring the village on foot, enjoying the local restaurants, shops, and, of course, the incredible wines.

This was a great hotel with friendly staff. There are not a lot of options for food/drink within walking distance, but there are multiple villages with a 5 mile radius.

Le Christina was better than expected. The room was new and modern. Hotel staff was courteous and attentive. Breakfast (I think it was 9 euro but can't remember the exact amount) included many delicious items.
Overall, Le Christina is a wonderful hotel in the peaceful historical town of Bourges.

The home was classical French, in my mind anyhow, which made it perfect. The room was on the third floor so, perhaps, not ideal for folks with disabilities, but there were other rooms, and I enjoyed the walk up the stairs. No elevator was available. The home was enclosed behind a secure fence with a coded gate. The grounds were neatly landscaped and presented a felling of serenity and relaxation, which was so appreciated after an overnight flight of 8 hours.

The property was excellent. The rooms great! Customer service excellent. Not too far from town although you will require a car, Uber or taxi to get there.
