The Pinnacles are not far from the shipwreck and are a very popular tourist attraction. In my opinion, the coloured sand dunes are not as impressive as Rainbow beach but that is up to the viewers discretion.

A pretty fancy title for a little island atoll just off Queensland’s sunshine coast. Lake Mackenzie is mind-blowingly beautiful. The pure white sand is so soft and acts as a brilliant exfoliate. The water is cool, fresh, crystal clear, and an array of blues. The dark blue section of the lake is extremely deep. Lake Mackenzie left its mark on both our memories and physically by conditioning our hair and leaving our skin silky smooth. It is truly natures Beauty Salon. SS Maheno shipwreck. The ship was an ocean liner that travelled between New Zealand and Australia as a medical ship during World War 1. It is a very impressive wreck and a photographers delight to shoot during the afternoon light.
