Top Great Lakes Hotel Reviews

Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown River North
2/10 Terrible
"The air conditioning did not work in my room. They have windows that are unlocked with no screen. It’s not kid friendly hotel, security, harassed kids, even though it was spring break the swimming pool is not as large as the picture make it look for such a large hotel to accommodate so many guests the swimming area does not look that way on the picture. Did I really enjoy myself."

Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls
8/10 Good
"Everything was well.... Just OK. This hotel was good and the staff were good. It is definately tired and showing its age. It is close to everything... The $50 per night parking fee was a little rediculous and not indicated on Expedia...."

Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre by IHG
8/10 Good
"Breakfast is quite lovely and if it’s included in your room rate, it’s worth the price. Hotel is very conveniently located yet still quiet at night. "

Hollywood Casino at Greektown
4/10 Poor
"Had to move to a different room upon arrival, due to the dirty bathroom. Outside the elevator was stinky trash which was there when we arrived and I had to tell them about it when we left the following day."

Chelsea Hotel, Toronto
2/10 Terrible
"Before i booked with this hotel it didn't state that they're garage parking was only big enough for admaller veichles. I drove from calgary to Toronto, on the way there was a highway closure due to a snow storm which made it impossible to make it in time for my first night booking which i was charged for. Once I arrived they mentioned my suv wouldn't fit in there parking garage, but they had limited parking spaces outside the hotel which were already full. I had to then find parking on my own and ended up parking on the road with other veichles later to find out that you weren't suppose to park there so i got a ticket. After finally getting into my room first thing i wanted to do was take a hot shower the hot water wasn't working and they said they'll send the maintenence guy. Once he came he didn't fix the issue and i said to leave it as i was exhausted and said I'd talk to reception about switching rooms in the morning. The balcony door was broken and wasn't closing properly as well. Elevators take forever as the hotel is full of families, which is understandable but still very frustrating. Won't be booking again."

Hotel Riu Plaza Toronto
10/10 Excellent
"Fantastic location, new hotel so it’s super clean comfy and tidy. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast was exceptional. Would’ve been great to have mugs not cups for hot drinks and the toilet paper was cheap quality but aside from that I’d recommend"

"What an AWESOME breakfast!!"

One King West Hotel & Residence
6/10 Okay
"We had no hot water in the shower. Plenty from the tap but the shower valve was bad. Rooms are okay condition but not 5 star. Bedding was very good. Staff are fantastic. I told the checkout person about the lack of hot water and only got a "sorry". I expected a token of redress for it. Previous visit was similar but TV remote did not work nor did the using your iPhone as a remote option. Little things maybe, but there are lots of other options available that get these things right."

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Toronto Downtown
8/10 Good
"Nice clean hotel. Quiet. No noise at night. Rooms are not big, but adequate for a short stay "
