"Best part by far was proximity to the beach and ocean view from our room. Very convenient foot wash and shower located by the pool which was great for the kids. Kids loved the pool. We also enjoyed the Yella Umbrella pool bar & grill as some nights were storming and they stayed open. The rooms were ok, not bad, but rusty lamps and some minor cosmetic things could definitely use an upgrade. The balcony railing did have a gap from the floor to the railing so our son was not allowed to have anything on the balcony fearing if he dropped something it could roll off onto the pool below. Overall, nice resort and budget friendly. No surprise/hidden security deposit or insane incidentals credit card hold which was nice when traveling. We would stay again if wanting to do a quick budget-friendly beach trip. Staff seemed stressed at the front desk, not the most polite but understood some guests are difficult to deal with."

"Check in was great except they didn’t show us bringing our dog even though I had several texts and confirmation about our dog and the fee. Customer service was still great. Pool was nice but my husband had to skim it due to all the debris in it. Other vacationers said it was not cleaned daily. Due to renovations on 2nd floor there was a sewer smell in the hallway but not in our room. They did place automatic air fresheners by the elevator. Continental breakfast was wonderful and available 7 am to 9 am. daily."
Holiday Pavilion Resort on the Boardwalk

"Location was great, staff was friendly and helpful! Lazy river was unique and relaxing! Pool was nice and bar and seating area were fine! Very easy access to the boardwalk and the beach! The room was clean, updated and well taken care of! We would stay there again! Parking was an issue (like most places at the beach)! There are about 15 first come first serve spaces and 3 handicap parking spaces! There are 12 fifteen-minute drop-off and check-in spaces, (why 12 is a mystery)! Then there is a parking lot across the street that doesn't hold many cars (no handicap) with a bar next to it, so it seemed to always be full and had many cars with no hotel ID tags showing! (The hotel provides tags to identify who is permitted to park on their property) And in the next block was a small parking garage, and the next block was another small parking lot! So, prepare to walk a lot back and forth to the hotel from your parked car!"

"The staff was friendly. We checked in around 11p and I could tell the young lady was ready to go, but she was still friendly. We stayed in room 863 and the mattress was too firm. I did not like it and was sore each morning I got up. The room is oceanfront, and we had a very nice view. There was pieces of hair in the tub and on the toilet, but we definitely completed our own cleaning before getting settled in. It was overall a good experience, and I would come back."
