"Not the best stay. This hotel is marketed as a "resort", but fell short of the service I would expect at a resort. We called after exiting the Grand Canyon on a three day hike. We were exhausted and ready to get into the AC. I called to see if our room was ready at 2:30pm. I was told that it was, but we would have to pay a $35 fee to come the hour and half early. We decided to wait and come back at check in time. When we arrived, we were told our room was not ready. It was only a few minutes, but odd that it had been ready early, but then was not. Additionally, it felt like this hotel tacked on additional charges. I had a regular room charge, an additional $50 charge (not sure for what) and at checkout was charged $28. We heard another guest complaining about a resort fee they were charged as we checked in. Overall, we were comfortable, but it was nothing special. Definitely not worth the extra fees for amenities we did not use. "
