Communication with Skykes Cottages was very process heavy tho - we received so many useless emails before the booking, then during the trip there was so many different people to talk to for every problem. "We stayed here for one night. The hotel was lovely and perfectly appointed. It was close to the bars and restaurants,a couple of minutes walk and you’re in the centre of Rye so if you come by train it’s easy to walk to the hotel and to everything around it. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. We had breakfast which was really good. The staff were really friendly. We couldn’t fault anything about it for the time we were there."

"We like the convenience of the hotel and the beds and rooms are nicely clean and the cleaning staff very friendly and helpful. However the reception staff are not that friendly and will ignore you unless you speak directly to them. I am unused to that in a hotel reception. It would be good if they were more welcoming and proactively pleasant. And although the breakfast is included it is just cereal and breads. The full breakfast is a bit of a disappointment and I recommend going elsewhere."

"From check in to check out a wonderful experience. Food in the restaurant was beautiful, breakfast buffet maybe could do with more choice. The spa facilities were very good, although the facial treatment I received, I thought overpriced for 20mins. Overall the cleanliness, staff, location were perfect Will definitely book again."

"Plenty of parking. Large comfortable room. Lovely welcome from the staff. Extractor fan in bathroom really loud and plug hole definitely needed some drain unblocker as was standing in water when I had a shower. However the staff were very receptive when I informed them and said that they would notify housekeeping. Would stay again"

"A very old building but clean and the staff were very helpful. I had a fall while staying (not in the hotel) and Sandra on reception was very concerned and assisted with ice for my bruises and also fetched my bags down on our departure date. Would go there again but request a slightly bigger room. Ours was a little small for two adults trying to get ready to go out!"
