Step back in time at the Pioneer Village Museum, where costumed interpreters bring Texas history to life. Kayak the Guadalupe River or join locals at Come and Take It Days, celebrating the town's revolutionary spirit.
Need to change mattress are uncomfortable, but was a incredible experience and the breakfast is delicious the better we ate in hotel. It’s like you live in a museum. GREAT

Great! Don't use cheap tickets to book your room as I did six weeks in advance and the took my money at time of reservation. Use booking or hotel and you will not have to pay until checkin time!

Love this place! The kids enjoyed Kayaking, fishing, pool time and games, all within walking distance. The area was well kept and clean. The beds were comfy and the cabin was clean. My only complaint was amenities indicated there was a stove top and oven so we thought it was a full range but it was not. It was a portable two sided burner and the microwave was also an oven but don’t recommend baking in it.

I was there for only one night but was very favorably impressed. The personnel were friendly and helpful, and the room was VERY clean and comfortable. - The only thing I questioned was the room rate. When I booked the room over the phone, I was told one rate, and, when I checked out,, I \was quoted a lower rate for which I have a receipt. Why were two rates quoted?

First and foremost, the staff was really friendly.
It was the best motel!
A cozy and quiet motel in a beautiful town.
It was cleaner than any other motel of the same grade,
with no unpleasant odors like cigarettes or drugs,
and it had a refrigerator and microwave, making the stay comfortable. :)
Most importantly, there was a Walmart right next door (a 1-minute walk away), which was great.
As a tip, if you just want a can of beer, use the gas station convenience store right next door instead...

If you haven’t stayed here you are missing out!!
To start out Miriam is there with a smiling face to greet you! She genuinely loves her job!
Very comfortable room with soap, lotion, shampoo, and body wash containers mounted to the wall. That’s right no little bottles all you need to do is push on the container!! What could be better!

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the room was excellent. Nice roomy interior, with generous counter space in the bathroom that is extra helpful. Everything was clean and new, and the wi-fi steady and strong.

Our stay was great. My 7 year old son and I traveled alone for the 1st time to visit family locally, and felt comfortable and safe. We had to go back and forth to the car a couple of times for things we’d forgotten and for a late night snack, and never felt unsafe. It’s a cute, quiet little motel on well kept grounds, and well lit at night. The bed was super comfortable.

I stay at Hampton Inns or Hilton Garden Inn when I absolutely need a good nights sleep. Their mattresses and pilows are the best that I have found. Their staffs and front desk accomodations are very nice as well. The standard design rooms are little undersized for the price versus the newer room designs offered by Hampton.

Weather was bad. Lots of mud carried into the hotel by oilfield workers. Surgical bootees should be provided for them at the front door as is done at other hotels.
