"We stayed here for 3 nights during our trip to Golden and were honestly quite nervous before arriving. After reading the reviews, which were overwhelmingly negative, our expectations were very low. However, it seems the management change about a month ago may have made a positive difference because our experience was much better than expected. The property is beautiful and located in a very quiet, remote area about 15 km uphill from Golden. Since there are very limited food and amenity options nearby, we came prepared with groceries and essentials. To our surprise, the room included coffee, a microwave, a fridge, and other useful amenities that weren't clearly mentioned in the booking description. The room was a bit small but perfectly fine for two people, and the balcony was a nice bonus. Check-in was easy and fully self-service, with instructions sent by email before arrival. Both the room and covered underground parking garage are accessed by code. The main issue we had was that the parking garage code stopped working on our second day. When we called, we were simply told to park outside on the property, with no explanation or estimate for when the issue would be fixed. Another downside was that the balcony table and chairs were quite dusty and could have used a proper cleaning. Overall, this stay was much better than the reviews led us to believe. There are a few things that could be improved, but the property offers good value in a beautiful setting."
