"Good location, nice property, convenient to walk for shopping and dining. Room was nice and adequate, our only issue was there was a narrow tub in restroom with a shower pointed from one side. There was a hinged glass partition separating the shower from the commode. Problem was, the glass naturally stopped in a position outside of the tub. This made it difficult to impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom. We asked for a solution to this and front desk said they would send someone to correct it, but nothing changed. We ended up wedging a hairbrush to hold the glass within the boundary of the tub and still had a decent amount of water escape."

"Soft bed, Viking experience with the cool ambiance in both the restaurant and breakfast room. The hot tub was nice. The only issue was the bathroom didn’t have a heater or vent. As a result clothes wouldn’t dry and the room was steamy after a full night."

The breakfast offered a wonderful variety of options each morning, and everything was fresh and delicious. Every single member of the staff was warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. The location was also fantastic — perfectly situated for exploring Reykjavík while still feeling comfortable and relaxing. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Alda Hotel to anyone visiting Iceland!"
