Overall this was a great stay - centrally located, clean modern rooms. We enjoyed the sauna, though the gym was sparce, but who needs to work out on vacation anyways! Staff was helpful with all our questions as well.

The hotel is the perfect location for walking around the city center and is a 5-minute walk to a pick-up/drop-off location for local tours. The hotel staff were very friendly and the room was clean and larger than expected.

This was our favorite hotel of all the places we stayed in Iceland. The location was perfect, the room was beautiful and so comfortable. We loved it here and will be back the next time we are in Reykjavik.

The location could not be beat and the staff were so kind! The amenities are fantastic and the prices are good for the area. The room was slightly tired and the mattresses were a little old-fashioned, but still comfortable. It’s not a luxury place, but it is definitely a nice place for the price, and again the location is exceptional.

We really found The Alda to be in an excellent location. Right in the middle of multiple shopping and dining opportunities. The breakfast was good. The room we chose was spacious and the bed was comfortable. My only suggestion for improvement would be to figure out how to have more light in the room. Even with every available light device on, we struggled to find things in our suitcases. So, we enjoyed our night at the Alda, got a good nights sleep, had a decent breakfast, and were helped by the very accommodating and friendly staff. I have no reservations in recommending The Alda.
