"We had an unplanned 2-night stop here because the Donner pass was closed. Can't say enough about this place: very clean, a reasonably-priced and tasty breakfast and, to a person, a very cheerful and helpful staff that kept us informed of road conditions, local knowledge and did everything they could to help us make the best of things."

"The room was invitingly decorated with a travel theme. The view was spectacular. We needn't have packed wine glasses, as a pair came with the room. We left the glass door open in spite of the cool temperatures so we could hear the fountain outside. Breakfast was exquisitely crafted. Altogether a dream stay."
