This hotel experience has been my most disappointing by far. During my hotel search, I was looking specifically for a room with a full ocean view & balcony to share with my partner for a special occasion which is why I booked the room pictured on website.
Instead, we received a partial ocean view & no balcony. When I went downstairs to talk to reception, they checked with management but were “sold out” so I was told “there is nothing they can do” & it’s only “based on availability”.
When I looked at my reservation, I had the full ocean view in text but the balcony was only shown in photos which is very misleading as there is nothing that said “based on availability”.
Our “full ocean view” room faced southwest, not east. You can only see the ocean if you stand in the bay window. There is an option when searching on Expedia for ocean view or partial ocean view. I specifically chose ocean view to avoid this exact situation from happening.
On top of all of that, the room was in poor shape. Fixtures were falling off the walls, hair dryers falling apart, multiple carpet stains, partial drywall repair without paint & to top it all off we didn’t have a king bed. We had two twin beds pushed together. We have photo documentation of our experience & will be happy to share if needed.
At bare minimum this posting should be updated to accurately reflect what is being offered. We were given a subpar room which didn't match the photos or descriptions online & we should be compensated
