"We did not stay long enough to evaluate the property. But our room reeked of food. I was afraid it was going to get all over my clothes. Also, the door was totally messed up. Could barely get it closed. The next morning I needed my husband to open it or I would have had to call for help. Not pleasant. ..."

Golconda is a small inviting town that is best visited on the weekend. We found some of the places we wanted to visit closed because they are only open Fri-Sun. We were just passing thru, but I definitely would come back to see Garden of the Gods.

I stayed at this location under the previous owners as Michael's motel I would give it a 5 star review. With new management and conditions it would get a zero star review. Will never stay at unity lodge again.
