「Went for a relaxing break in Port Isaac and stayed here in room 5 which had a lovely view of the slipway. Room not very spacious and with only one chair which meant one of us had to sit on the bed but not too much of a problem. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The toilet was practically touching the ensuite door so a visit in the dark in the middle of the night left me with a head injury when I closed the door and went to sit down! I think they heard the bang...

「Breakfast was nice and there were vegan options though the one person serving seemed stressed as she was so busy. Evening meal was good and had vegan options for all courses. Staff were friendly and helpful. The carpet in my bedroom was the only disappointment as it needs replacing. Otherwise the room was spotless and the bedding fresh & comfortable. 」

「What a lovely property, everything was perfect, clean room, everything in good working order. Spacious room for 3, large bed, tea and coffee and hot chocolate. Great menu, lovely evening meal and breakfast. Plenty of free parking, easy access to Truro annd Newquay. All staff were friendly and helpful. 」

The evening meal was okay but my husband’s dish tasted quite bland, considering the prices - we expected slightly better quality. We really enjoyed the history and novelty of the hotel. The free mini bar was a nice touch. 」

「Parking easy, reception area not great but checked in ok and shown to room. Room is fine but tired and kitchen too dark and poor quality fittings. Shower not high pressure but ok. A good freshly cooked full English breakfast, and friendly owners. 」
