"Interesting traditional inn but modern facilities. Staff guide you around the property, which is quite unusual when you're used to staying in standars hotels. Staff have varying levels of English but thanks to Google translate it didn't cause any problems. Slight miscommunication about our check out time, but it was resolved and we found our way out of the hotel(!)"

"Hotel was in a quiet area but just down the road from a main area. The hotel was quiet and they accommodated our early check in. We had a big room with a nice patio. The only issue was that there was a strong musk smell. I think it is due to the wood but one person in my group was sensitive to the smell and it bothered them. "

The proprietor was very attentive and helpful and you can tell he's rightly very proud to be Japanese. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Soku-san and his wife are the kindest people ever and offered amazing hospitality. Gao is the cutest dog I've ever seen and I was super happy to get a picture with him at the end of my stay. "I absolutely loved my stay here. The property supplied everything one could imagine. Even the most random things like shoe warmers. It was in a great location and we had a little bar right next to us so we could stop for a drink. Easy walk to the historic town or to the Samurai village. I would highly recommend it. "
