"I thought the gorilla theme was really cute and liked the shared space dorm feeling. Some guests were cheerful and not especially quiet but once it got late it was quiet and we slept well. It actually felt festive and pleasant. The bath facilities were clean. There could have been more garbage bins as they got full quickly and it became difficult to separate. The space had a good feeling and it was comfortable to sleep on futons even as a family. There's not much privacy so it might not be great...

"Mr.Nakamori is very nice and will pick you up from the train station to take you to the house. It is in a very peaceful and quiet residential area, you can experience the feeling of living in Japan! Everything was very clean and comfortable, I definitely recommend staying here!"

"This place is a hidden gem. It is perfect for one or two travellers as the rooms are small but wide enough. The common space offers everything necessary for a good stay (fridge, water, kitchen, 300 yen washing machine, microwave...). Well located near green line and has a 7Eleven at 50 meters. Two rooms only so the common space is well enough. I highly recommand this accommodation."

"とにかく素晴らしいです！南朝時代の皇居として使用された堀家の母家に隣接する離れに泊まれるのですから。内部は綺麗にリノベーションされてますし、とても快適です。離れの横、母家の横には川が流れてますので、そのせせらぎや、カジカガエルの声が聞こえてきて、とても情緒があります。泊まった日は、はからずも満月でしたので、広々としたお風呂に入り、その窓から月と川を眺めておりました。心の底から癒されるひと時でした。お風呂は家族で入れる大きさなので、ゆったりできます。ホテルの周りには人がいませんので、夜になると川の音しかしません。庭に出て自然の音に包まれながら、満月を愛でつつお酒を飲む最高の時間。魂の洗濯が出来た気がしました。また、当主の堀様も品のある素敵な方で、さすが代々続いてこられたお家柄だと感動しました。歴史好きな方は是非、またそうでない方でも、きっと満足出来るホテルだと思います。今回は食事無しでしたので、それだけが心残りですね。次回は是非、食事もしてみたいと思いました。ありがとうございました！"

"My wife and I loved our time at this property. It has a very cute garden where we would sit and have tea. We also enjoyed the art display in the living room, which was all made by the host’s mother. The property is in an area away from the city where we could get a taste of everyday life in Japan, so we were delighted every time we walked to and from the train stations. "The ryokan and the area surrounding it was absolutely beautiful. The staff are very kind and will take the time to assist as much as possible, even with the language barrier. Breakfast and dinner is included. A free shuttle is available for pickup/dropoff between 2 stations at certain times, inquire when making the reservations. The room with private bath is absolutely gorgeous. Would definitely visit again."
