"Our room and my daughter’s room was filthy. There was a dead bug inside a pillowcase: a bug smashed on the wall with a streak of bug guts; peanuts under the desk area; yellow stains on the sheets; a lot of dead bugs under the curtains; and what appeared to be a mouse hole in the wall. We left and found a clean room at the Holiday Inn Express. We have pictures and requested a refund."

"When I checked in, I was told the room was behind the office. I got my luggage out and went on the sidewalk behind the office. There were no rooms there. I went back to the office. I was told behind her meant across the lot and on the other side of the pool. I re-loaded my luggage into the car and drove to the other side. Luggage had to be dragged up stairs as there was no ramp. Nasty bathtub. Drain stoppers had been removed from the sink and bathtub. Good luck if you drop your toothpaste cap or earring. Also made me wonder if a bug was going to run out of it."

"This property is amazing, truly beautiful inside and out. Very clean and friendly staff. Gwen was exceptionally helpful as our room did not include any sugar or cream with our coffee. She went out of her way to locate some for us, eventually just going into the Bistro to find some fresh milk and sugar for me, she even brought us some mugs. So kind! I was however extremely disappointed to learn there were no pastries like the website showed. I was truly looking forward to those BUT I would definitely not let that stop me from going back. I do believe they could do a better job in the Bistro area, the chef was trying his best with the limits he had. The cupola was beautiful, being so close to historic downtown Staunton was wonderful. We were celebrating our 21st anniversary and I am very pleased that I chose this place for such a special day!"

"Property is pretty new. Nice size fridge and full stove/oven. Our unit did not have a dishwasher, but it was just an overnight stay. Bed was comfortable, but comforter was very heavy. More like a January comforter than May. Also, IF YOU HAVE A DISABILITY, make sure you ask for a room with accommodations. The tub is raised and was difficult for me to enter. Also, tub bottom is not a safety flooring and no grab handles. There is a bath mat. Only suggestion I have is a couple more towels in bathroom and a couple of more pillows on bed or available in closet. Not everyone sleeps with only 1 pillow and as I have a disability that affects my legs and feet, it's nice to sleep with a pillow under my knees. All in all, nice place. Will stay again!"

"Check in was suppose to be at 3pm, we arrived at 4:45 to no clean rooms. They tried to have us check into a dirty room and when I asked to just cancel the reservation (the place was notably filthy and there were several people waiting in the office because their room was also dirty) they informed us their cleaner had called out and they had 75 rooms that needed to be cleaned. They refused to cancel our reservation or refund us. Will never be using their services again."
