"On arrival staff at reception were amazing so helpful. Walked into room carpet had an iron burn, the sink in bathroom was slow to drain. The lights on the unit with the tv one was not working and swivelling round.. the socket under the unit was broken and not looking good. The unit had a strip of laminate ripped of the unit. Could hear people talking in next door room. Breakfasts were ok, our first morning the fried eggs were like rubber, sausages over cooked and not appetising to look at or eat.. Our second breakfast we had poached eggs they were lovely and sausages were better but mushrooms were all wrinkled and dry!! Had dinner it was lovely steak & chips very nice, well cooked steak. Staff amazing, so chatty and in hand at all times. Bed was comfortable but pillows were poor quality. Said the bed was a king koil but when I looked at the mattress it was not that make!! Hair dryer was hot to hold after a few minutes. So if it wasn’t that my daughter was staying here as she was giving stem cells at the beatson hospital for her brother my son and they booked it for her I would never have stayed here but I wanted to be in the next room in case she needed me. Disappointed with the hotel. Staff I can’t say enough about them, you should be very proud of them but as for your hotel you need to do a much better job and bring it into the 21st century Not acceptable at all. "

"The family room was a good size. Bed was comfortable. Towel hooks were lacking in the room. Maybe because it looked as though part of a rail was missing above the end of the bath.The carpets heading to the first floor had wrappings lying around and weren't cleaned during our stay. The cooked breakfast was good. We had a good evening meal. "

"Take care although this property is in a fabulous location, clean and has friendly staff. Bed was very uncomfortable/hard, our shower room flooded, we were put in a room that was so dark in lighting you could barely see and the third party provider double charged us for parking and hotel is unable to assist with this when i called for help and provider is uncontactable."

"Don't take a room on the ground floor, you hear EVERYTHING from those STOMPING about upstairs, NEVER staying there again! It's down to the two level NOT having CONCRETE between the 2 floors."

"The hotel is beautiful and the staff really friendly. We tried different restaurants, all were good. The breakfast was good, everyone will find something. The gym is excellent, the pool is nice and warm, though too crowded and may be a bit small for the hotel size plus club members plus lodges. Due to the beautiful location it is complicated to get around without a car. "
