Glacier Park Lodge

Glacier Park Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"This beautiful historic lodge was such a special experience! The common areas are warm and inviting. Sit in the comfy chairs in front of the fireplace, listen to live music in the evenings. We enjoyed lounging on a rainy day. A guest sat at the piano and played, an unexpected treat. History abounds in the photos and info boards throughout the lobby lounge, so informative! The souvenir shop had quality gifts and mementos. Wanda, the woman at Information was outstanding! So helpful and friendly! While we loved the common areas, beware, this is an old historic lodge and there is no elevator! We carried our bags to the 3rd floor. Rooms are very small and bathrooms even smaller. The sink is tiny, you can't really turn around in the shower. If you like being pampered, this is not for you! The lodge location is fabulous for access to the east park, and well worth the stay. I would do it again. Being prepared for the experience makes it better."

"We stayed at a room in the lodge and it was spacious for 4. The room was clean and the verandah was really nice. The surrounding was well-kept and natural. The hotel is situated 5 minutes from the West Glacier Entrance, 5 minutes from Josephine’s Bar and Kitchen and the Glacier Distillery which i highly recommend. Would stay there again if i go back to visit. Weather permitting, I would really like to whitewater raft with them- it was so close to the river!"

Glacier Haven Inn

Glacier Haven Inn

8/10 Good
"This property is more of a "Mom and Pop" style motel. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the rooms are of comfortable size and VERY clean. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We ate dinner at the cafe and the Asian food was very good and reasonably priced. There is some noise from the road in front and the railroad in back, but the road noise was minimal at night. For us, the only downside might be the mattresses. They could be updated. That being said, my husband and I both slept well because we were sleeping in separate beds. Also, we received a message the day we left asking us if we had lost or left behind a watch. We hadn't, but it was nice to have them check with us in case it had been ours. It felt like very personal service."
