Great place to stay

We had a lovely stay in Galesburg. Our room was large and comfortable. The breakfasts were good. We traveled with our dog and were conveniently able to have a first-floor room. There is a beautiful dog park an easy walk from the hotel.

It’s your basic hotel. If you’re wanting a pool, well you’re out of luck. It’s a great place if you want to sleep and not have amenities. It’s affordable too. The breakfast was good, and the area was clean. I would recommend this place for your stay.

Nicest people, not the newest property

Staff/owners were super nice and responsive! It’s an older property but seemed to be cleaned and maintained. The beds are old enough to be the ones you can actually see under, and the carpet is probably as old. It’s fine for a night en route to another destination. Note to my fellow ND friends: the cleaner or air freshener had a strong enough scent to require changing the pillow case on the pillow I took in with me because that scent was still on it when I got home. If sensitive to scents, be prepared that it’s strong.

This is the most nasty disgusting hotel I ever stayed in would never recommend smells like a wet dog when you walk in

Everything was great! The only issues with the room needed some things fixed—needs a new toilet seat (the one we had was broken and each time you sat on it it would slide) and there were cosmetic issues in the room needing fixing, the lamp lights by the bed didn’t work. Other than those things it was terrific!

I reserved a double queen room but was given a single queen (the second bed had been removed) which was not a huge inconvenience because I was travelling alone. My biggest concern was that the room smelled terribly. It smelled of stale cigarette smoke and a sort of mildew kind of odor. I ended up going to the store a couple blocks away and buying a can of air freshener AND a plug-in just to make the room odor tolerable.

Very bad experience.

The staff was rude. Requested handicapped room and did not get one. They did not have one with double beds and they did not let pets stay in handicapped room if they had one. Mold in bathroom and room where beds were. Cigarette burns on tub, exposed wires on smoke detector. Will never stay in one again. Would have left but no other rooms in town with double beds and would have been charged even with all the issues.

The bed was very comfortable. The AC worked well and it was quiet. The sidewalk on the north side of the building had some loose pieces of aluminum that could be a trip hazard.
