「Wonderful place to stay, we loved that the area was in a real neighborhood and not touristy. The only complaint is the main bedroom faces a an alley that has a motion activated light that shines bright on and off all night while you are trying to sleep. Dark shade would help this situation. 」

「The place is super serene and clean. The owner is friendly and helpful. Both the exterior and interior are gorgeous! We had a wonderful time staying here. 」

「Loved it, felt like a real local. Washer was a plus and included detergent! Fast responses and overall a great stay :) 9.8/10 a little bit dusty specifically the top of air conditioner but hey, it’s an older place, it was expected and part of the vibe. Recommend if you want to stay in a more traditional place hence the name of the place. 」

「This property was absolutely epic. Extremely fast communication, gorgeous house and delicious dinner coordinated during a time when most things are shut. Mari and her team were so great. We regretted we didn't have more than one night to enjoy this picturesque village and perfect house. It surpassed all expectations. My group was 6 family members and we stayed at 8 different places all over Japan for a two week adventure and all 6 agreed this property ranked #1 of all. Can't wait to return and...

「とても雰囲気があってオシャレで良かったです。おうちの前が石畳の道なのも風情があります。トイレが２つありましたし、二階建てでベッドルームと居間がそれぞれ別なので寛げました。トイレと脱衣場も畳でした。 3、4人や家族での旅行に大変おすすめです。簡易的な流しやレンジ、お皿、ドリップコーヒーもありがたいです。同じ系列の町家が市内にまだ沢山あるみたいなので次回はそちらに泊まってみたいです。」

「There were two Japanese well maintained gardens and stone paving hallway outside. They were beautiful and they made us feel very historical culture. The summer season in Kyoto is very uncomfortable to stay outside because of the hight temperature but, in this house, for some reason we could stay comfortably without air conditioner.
