"Really enjoyed the stay at Fuji Lake hotel, the food was great, the onsen was great! This was easily our favorite stay! Absolutely would recommend this!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at Kasuitei Ooya. The whole vibe and decor of the ryokan (room and building overall) was very calming and captivating. The breakfast and dinner provided was phenomenal and everything we ate was fresh. The beds were tad bit less comfy then what we have previously experienced with japanese futons but rest assured, they are still very comfortable to sleep on. The staff were all super friendly,helpful and very accomodating to our needs. We are very greatful for this experience and would certainly stay here again if given the opportunity."

"Our Fuji Exress train got cancelled because of Typhoon and we couldn’t find any other way because all the other ways of transport were close due to typhoon so we couldn’t find any other way to get there at Kawaguchiko. We called the hotel to cancel and refund but they didn’t even listen to us. The staff who picked up the phone didn’t speak English well and he said he cannot cancel or refund. So we waisted 300 dollars worth of stay for not even being there and something which was out of our control. I would not recommend booking this hotel in advance. Very rude staff on the phone."

"The room was very clean and comfortable, checking in was reasonably easy checking out was also easy. They don’t necessarily serve breakfast, but you get complementary coffee, tea juice as well as they have some bread rolls to choose from. It seems to be more in a residential area, but that is not necessarily a bad thing, you can also rent bikes from them at your leisure. It is very convenient for exploring around the lake area by Fuji."
