I never take the time to write a review but this time I will. Avoid that place! I arrived with exactly 12 minutes of delay at the door, called the number on the door and got somebody on the phone so rude that I thought he was drunk. He even dared to tell me that I should go elsewhere, if I can afford it! After endless discussion, he called the person of the reception and I could check in. During the rest of our stay, we never saw anybody at the reception, independently from the time. Absolutely no service. The room was clean, but the bed awful. And the water tank is too small to wash my hair, let aside a second shower if you are two (I am used to quick shower, but this is beyond that). Down on the Main Street, next to a very nice breakfast place, there is another pension. For the exact same price, you get a much better confort and service.

We had a lovely time in Fuencaliente, the Pensión is clean, well equipped and light and the area is quiet. Owner is very friendly . There’s lots to do especially if you like walking and amazing scenery. Good restaurants in town or you can do simple cooking in the appartment . A slightly more comfortable mattress and we would give it top marks.

Logement bien situé, calme mais désuet.

Séjour de 4 nuits, du 19 au 23 février où la température extérieure était plutôt fraîche. Un seul petit radiateur situé dans la chambre pour chauffer le studio était insuffisant. Un tout petit ballon d'eau chaude de 15 litres ne permettait pas de prendre une douche correcte. L'ensemble est plutôt vieillot et aurait besoin d'un rafraîchissement, tout autant que les ustensiles de cuisine et la vaisselle. En revanche, le patron est très sympathique et toujours prêt à rendre service. Idéalement situé pour visiter et randonner dans le sud de l'île.

Corridoi bui, con vari interuttori non funzionanti. Cucina non segnalata. Locali in pieno rifacimento (fra cui la reception). TV funzionante... solo per indicare "Non ci sono canali, bisogna cercare i canali". Nessuno a cui chiedere in caso di problemi. Per chi resta più notti: nessun servizio in camera.

Pension agradable en medio de pequeño pueblo

Llegamos tarde pero ya lo habiamos avisado. Nos atendieron muy amablemente incluso nos acompañaron a la habitación explicando todo. Cerca hay una iglesia que desde las 7h de la mañana toca las campanas pero no es demasiado desagradable. Hay varias playas pequeñas cerca y el pueblo bastante tranquilo. Nos gustó bastante.

Ronduit slecht niet te vekopen.

Het was een drama, verwarming slecht, kast deuren die niet sluiten, tochten bij ramen, gordijnen die niet sluiten en niet verduisteren, gammel bed waar karton onder de poten lag, tv die niet werkt, boiler die piept, rioollucht, geen handdoeken wissel, geen toiletpapier (zelf gekocht), bestek minimaal en stuk, geen koffiezet apparaat, geen waterkoker, koelkast waar de brokken bij hingen en bijgeluiden had, tafel met 2 krukjes waar je het geen uur op uithield. Kortom voor alle prijzen te duur! De foto van het terras is niet privé maar voor algemeen gebruik.

Pension froide et humide en hiver.

Le logement sans balcon au rez-de chaussée est humide (odeurs l'humidité), mal équipé pour la cuisine, pas d'extracteur d'odeur, mauvaise literie. Pas bon rapport qualité/prix.

Ideal para visitar zona sur y hacer ruta volcanes.

En general, satisfecha, por el precio una buena habitación con baño y cocina amplia y equipada. Pros: Limpieza muy correcta. Servicio muy atento y con muchas facilidades. Organizan traslados para realizar la ruta de los volcanes a buen precio. Ubicación perfecta en la ciudad, cerca de bares y supermercados. Aparcamiento siempre disponible en la misma calle. Contra: Hacia bastante frio en la habitación y mucha humedad, era como una cueva. La cama era bastante pequeña y se clavaban los muelles. Ducha pequeña.

A gentle way of life

Fuencaliente is an ideal base for walking. Close to the volcanoes that last erupted in 1971. Good bus links back to the capital or further north.

Fantastisk service och värd

Mycket charmigt och trevligt hotell med en mycket serviceinriktad ägare/värd. Han tog sig till och med tid att skjutsa oss till en trevlig lokal restaurang o dessutom hämta oss efter avslutad måltid.
