Le Pélican

"Hotel location was excellent. Loved the busy bakery attached to the hotel, although not enough staff to clear & wipe dirty tables for volume of customers to sit. Bedroom, apart from being small, was spotlessly clean. The hotel restaurant was always busy, so guessing the food is really good, but never had enough time there to experience it. The upstairs exterior bar area is a nice touch, but is lacking a bit of atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family."

"Great breakfast and pool. Common areas are beautiful. In contrast, The standard room was basic without a chair to sit on, not many hooks, little desk space to put things on. One side of the bed doesn’t have an end table. It is a bit far out from the town center but still within walking distance."

"Room was compact but very clean. Nicely located near Lake Annecy itself. Plenty of parking for guests. A choice for breakfast, whether you want fruit, pastries or like me plenty of bacon and scrambled eggs."
L'Impérial Palace

"Location, location, location. A room with a view here is spectacular. However, lake access is not as easy as you'd think and there is no exclusivity. There is no place with chaise lounges for sitting outside and enjoying the sun and lake. You have to pay extra for the "club" next door made out of what seems to have once been the hotel's lake deck. Hotel is not right in town but it is a short walk and there are other restaurants close by. Breakfast at the hotel is substantial and expensive. If you are not a big breakfast eater, it's kind of a waste. The staff was all polite but no one wanted to lift a finger to provide any extra help. We were there peak season and maybe they were tired but asking for a taxi was like asking for a personal favor. The front desk people are experts in ignoring your presence. We did not use the spa. We paid for a room with a fantastic view and no regrets but while I will return to Annecy, I don't think I'd stay here again."

"Nice property in a fantastic location. Walkable to everything. Enough space for the 3 of us traveling together and sharing a room. Air conditioning was not working in all of the rooms so some others I traveled with were quite warm. They stored our luggage so we could be out of the room on time but still explore before we needed to get to the train station."
