「The pool and tiki bar were great, although the bartenders were kinda rude. The breakfast was not the best, oversalted or stale. The waffle, yogurt and cereal were ok though. Our hotel room was pretty dingy and we were told we would get room service only every other day but they didn't come once.」

「The room was amazingly clean for a beach front property. While some aspects of the property are a little dated, it did not detract from the wonderful opportunity to stay on the beach. The only real issue was the very low toilet, which for older folks might be a potential problem. Communication with the virtual front desk was always pleasant and friendly. Very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return.」

「The property was newly renovated and very clean. Pool was clean and maintained daily. The hotel is convenient to the beach. The lobby is not staffed for the majority of the time. There was no room service the three days during our stay. Towels were not kept in stock at the pool. When asked for fresh towels a staff member said they would bring some but never did.」

「1 bed Queen Suite was roomy and arranged well. Kitchen had all the basics you need. I liked the full size fridge and microwave instead of the typical dorm size appliances many other hotels offer. The room was also very clean.」

「We enjoyed our stay with 2 of our grandkids. We enjoyed the beach and Southport. We took a ferry ride to Fort Fisher. The hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. The kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast was a hit.」

「During our stay, the elevator was completely out of service, and we had to climb the stairs many times. In the breakfast room, one of the younger waiters had a very bad attitude and was extremely slow, except for one staff member who was fine. The air conditioner in the room was extremely loud. If you’re not a heavy sleeper, I really wouldn’t recommend staying here—you’ll feel like you’re sleeping on a train all night.」

「So many postiives to write here. 1-the location is superb. One block from the water and a couple of blocks walk to some of the best restaurants in town. The Oyster bar was so good we visited twice. 2- The B and B is perfect. A very warm host who instantly made you feel at home.
