「Sadly, this was a bad experience. I booked via Expedia where the hotel was advertising a Michelin trained chef and a restaurant. I travelled solo 145 miles for a two night break purely because of this. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn the restaurant closed last year. I expressed this disappointment in very civil tones, explaining this was the only reason for my visit. 「We stayed in a "POD" located in the ground. The pod was well appointed with good decor. The kitchen area contained a fridge, dishwasher, oven and hob, complete with crockery, cooking utensils and cutlery all you need for a comfortable stay. The shower room was excellent, and the bed was very comfortable too. The restaurant provided a good menu at reasonable prices.」

「The twin room we had was fine if basic. Bedding was clean but there was no mattress protector and there were two old pillows squashed into one pillowcase. The beds were small- child’s width. One issue was the location - lots of drunks walking past and people taking drugs on the benches over the road where the property looked out to the sea. 「Wow! This apartment far exceeded our expectations. Spacious 2-bedroom, 2 bathroom on the top floor with a gorgeous sea view. Elevator opens into the apartment which takes a little getting used to! Well-equipped kitchen, huge dining room and living room with stairs leading down to the second bedroom. Main bedroom on the main level is lovely and very comfortable. Lots of storage allows you to unpack. The living room furniture could be replaced; the cushions are shot and furniture smells musty....

「On arrival there waa no parking, but the manager directed us to an NCP carpark which was helpful. The staff were friendly. However, the room was very tired and dusty. Dust on all the skirting boards, particularly on the shelf in the bathroom, near bed, under bed. Just needs a good clean. Everything was tired and needs an upgrde. Was certainly not worth £150 per night, room only.」
