Great place to stay. Close to shopping and dinning. Staff was very accommodating for all of our needs. If you are going to Florence this is a place I recommend.

Far from restaurants and other spots. Hotel is outdated. Bathroom is like from 1960's. TV doesn't have a single English channel and it's not new enough to connect to Netflix or Youtube to chill after a long day of sightseeing. The price I paid to stay in this hotel is not worth it at all.

The hotel is a tram ride outside of city center a small walk from the tram. The staff are very helpful. We had a cold when we arrived and they helped us with where to go to get to a doctor. The bed was sooo comfortable a great place to rest. The breakfast was wonderful with local treats. It was a great place to return to after sight seeinging with an elegant lobby and our room had a very interesting ceiling. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The receptionist was very nice and very polite. The room was clean and comfortable. That is, the geographical location of the hotel is slightly off, and it is a little distance to walk to various attractions. Hotel price is good, worthy of the title of three stars.

Great Stay!
Perfect spot to stay in Florence. Out of the train station, two stops on the new tram and there. Walking distance to bus tours-5-10 minutes. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Good variety of items!

The property is old but was very comfortable. Breakfast was nice and staff very kind. The only problem I have is with expedia and pricing. The first night was affordable but then I was charged double for the same room the next night.

Not downtown but room was excellent with 2 king beds must be a fluke. Breakfast top notch 5/5. Quiet, high ceilings, staff intelligent and friendly. We walked every day 1.5km ? to main centre. Exercise to make room for food.

The property was very nice and the breakfast was excellent. One thing to know, is they do not have on-site laundry facilities as advertised. We specifically booked here to be able to do our laundry mid-trip. They do have laundry send out service but it's pricey.

The price reflects the experience
Overall our experience wasn’t positive for a couple reasons. Starting with the good, the staff were helpful and kind, and the room was overall very clean. Also it was cheap. We had a couple problems with the room, firstly the shower wouldn’t drain unless left for minutes. This led to a shower experience that would be stop and start in order to drain the water. Next, the air conditioning unit was leaking and woke us up at 12:30am. We had to call reception and they brought us towels to put down to soak up the water and we had to turn off the air conditioning to prevent further flooding. Our room, number 61 (we might be misremembering the room number) was right next to where breakfast was served - if you’re told you’re on lower ground floor do not accept it - especially room 61 - this made our mornings have an abrupt wake up call. Upon checking out our experience wasn’t queried even though the hotel was aware of our negative experience. The hotel is also quite close to the train station but far out from the hustle and bustle of Florence. Walking back from the centre felt unsafe at night. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a friend.

Great service!! Comfortable, clean. A bit outdated but well kept. Amazing breakfast. The air freshener was a bit too much at first but got used to it.

I absolutely loved my stay at La Fortezza. It has everything you could want for a very reasonable price and was very comfortable. The room had wifi, air conditioning, a safe, and even had a little terrace! There’s always someone on and and they were always friendly and respectful. It felt like a home base rather than a basic shelter. I highly recommend this hotel.

It was a blessing to have a hotel with convenient parking, as we had a rental car. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was good. The only negative was that the fridge inside the room did not work, to which the front desk’s response was that they are working on replacing them. But they do have a working fridge in the reception are with cold water and drinks, so it made up for it. Overall, great place to stay, and would definitely stay again!

The front desk ppl are never at the front desk. My room had huge spiderwebs in the corner . My bathroom sink didn't drain down . The showers are So small, you can barely turn around.Luckily I was only there for less than 24 hours.
