A beautiful hotel right in the heart of the city. Breakfast in Angel was fantastic. The rooms and style of the hotel were so lovely and the staff very helpful. Particular thanks to Valeria for helping us enjoy our day on Saturday with itinerary ideas.

We stayed 4/12-4/14 and from the moment we arrived we were treated very well. We arrived early and we were able to checkin early. The room was a nice size for European standards. The room was decorated with a cross between Old World and modern style. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The rooftop breakfast was lovely. All the hotel staff were very friendly, professional, very attentive and helpful. An extra thank you to Daniele for going above and beyond with being helpful in helping me deal with a credit card challenge. The location was excellent, easily walk to all the main sites. I would definitely recommend Hotel Calimala to my family and friends!

Property had beautiful rooms. Exposed brick and beams in the rooms was a nice touch. Rooms were well appointed. Hotel staff were excellent and knowledgeable. Would definitely stay here again.

Great staff. Only issue was construction right above our room. We were only there two nights and the hotel was full. We were trying to sleep off jet lag. I’m sure this was isolated and would recommend the hotel. I would stay there again but would make sure that there was no construction on or near the building during my stay.

Hotel Calimala was a great stay! The stay was very pleasant and always was available to answer any questions or help out as much as they can. Since the hotel is located in the heart of Florence, everything is within walking distance (restaurants, Dumo, stores, bars, ect). The proximity is so great that I would recommend not renting a car. Just put on your most comfortable shoes and explore. Now when it comes the rooms, they seemed smaller than I expected but the hotel’s attention to detail and overall design is gorgeous. The large windows overlooking the city was my favorite. The beds are extremely comfortable as well. The hotel even offer charging converters which I thought was really sweet. They have two bars/restaurants on premise. One is located in the west building and the other is located in the east building. (Yes, the hotels are split up into two building, but that doesn’t take away from the experience). Anyway, the free breakfast wasn’t as great and could be better, but the steak we had for dinner was pretty decent and the bartender gave us free shots. Overall, I would definitely book with this hotel again. The service, staff, and hotel was nothing less than amazing.

Such a beautiful hotel with tasteful decor. The room was big, spacious and comfortable with the modern Italian style. The staff were very friendly and helpful and added some extra gifts and handwritten notes. Nice touch. Definitely recommend to stay here

The location is absolutely the best! The hotel is awesome, clean and very cute. The only problem I had was during check in, I gave my information 3 times including handing my passport & Expedia’s confirmation, the lady in the front desk KEPT saying I had no reservation there, she couldn’t find my reservation and started to look weird to me, instead of her saying: “give me one minute” and checked enough before talking back to me she made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed in front of everybody repeating several times I had no reservation there. At the end i sat down and started to try to solve the issue by contacting Expedia, when someone else stepped in and found my reservation. Definitely should instruct better front desk people.

I would give this property a full 5 star rating all the way down except but I’ll hold one for the property. The street below was noisy throughout the night and the room was a little too cold for my comfort. Otherwise, this venue is perfection. I love, love, loved it.

I stayed in the property for 3 nights. The staff was friendly, attentive, accommodating, and resourceful. The room was clean, well-appointed, and filled with interesting artwork. We loved the simple extras provided. Breakfast was varied, beautifully presented, and wonderfully tasty. And, although it was a bit chilly during our stay, we enjoyed the hospitality and views from the rooftop terrace restaurant. One recommendation is that they improve their pillows and provide options from softer to firm. If they do that, Hotel Calimala will be perfect.

Best choice for Florence
Beautiful stay in the heart of Florence, minutes from the cathedral of Florence and many other beautiful sites and museums! Perfect location for shopping dining and walking distance from everything! The hotel itself was gorgeous perfect mix of old and new, with a beautiful rooftop bar/breakfast area, we lived our stay and our room was lovely!
