Hidden gem. True to Italian character. Website piccys dont do justice to capture hotels stately, inner beauty. Peaceful pretty courtyard to spend evenings in and have al fresco breakfast. Food is exceptional...breakfast consisted of juices, tea/coffee, plain/mixed omelettes with or without salmon/bacon accompaniment; meat platters, fruit platters, pastries. Throughout the day there was also fruit juices/water and pastries to help yourself to too. Fridge in room with free water and option to buy other items ie wine
The hotel had lovely private, sitting areas if you didnt want to stay in your room
Rooms are enormous so great for multiple occupants. Have usual bathrobes, toiletries expected at this level.
Staff are super friendly and very attentive to service
Hotel great for walking to all areas in Florence and lots restaurants in nearby vicinity for evening dinner
If there was a negative it would be the amount of staircases but that would depend on the room allocated...there is a lovely glass lift.... We had the basement tho which may have been the old servants quarters...huge room and lovely but so many stairs when up and down frequently
