What are some of the general tips for travelers to Five Cays during the COVID-19 outbreak?
With new restrictions and safety precautions in effect, travel looks a lot different these days. These are some handy things to know before you get on that plane to Five Cays:
  • Before you lock in a flight, check if any travel restrictions or bans apply — in both your origin and destination. Get up-to-date information by reviewing government and travel websites.
  • When you pass through airport screening, do not remove your face mask. You will be required to briefly lower it for identification purposes. Those who refuse to wear a mask may be denied entry or boarding.
  • Avoid handing your boarding pass (paper or electronic) directly to a TSA officer. Instead, you should position the pass on the reader and then hold it up for inspection.
  • One liquid hand sanitizer container is now allowed in your carry-on bag. It must be no bigger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll need to remove it from your bag for scanning.
  • Put any personal items (e.g, keys, phone and wallet) in your carry-on rather than a bin to minimize handling during the screening process.
  • If you're bringing food through the screening checkpoint, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a scanning bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA officer will need to handle your food container or carry-on bag for inspection.
