"We arrived in time to meet Alda, the maid. She made sure we had everything we needed. The young people slept up stairs and were delighted with the suite and bath plus their own balcony. The hike up the alley to the street was pretty tough for us old ladies, but we did it. There is a little store at the top with most things you need, I.e., water and wine. "Villa 1809 worked per fee curly for our family of five. The space was better than the photos, convenient, comfortable and had everything we needed. Private deck was large and had excellent views of Fira, the sea and the island. Restaurants and shops were steps away. Our kids’ favorite was having a hot tub all to ourselves! Staff was also very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend staying at Villa 1809 for anyone visiting Fira!"

"Opera Mansion is by far the best place we've ever stayed. The views were wonderful. Our hostess Valentini and her staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. Fira is a busy place, but Opera Mansion was a quiet respite. We stayed in most of our visit without wanting to venture into the crowds.
