「Friendly staff, decent breakfast; room was not very clean- black mold in the tub and gunk all over the hair dryer- which I was able to request a clean one. They seemed a little short staffed but all working very hard. 」

「Staff was very friendly. Room was bright and decorated nicely, though small as is to be expected at a historic hotel. It was very expensive when we were there, and I don't think worth the price. It appears to be a grand historic hotel, but there's no lobby to appreciate this -- only the dining room. There's no big historic lobby area, just a normal check-in desk. It is really the only place to stay if you want to be in downtown Lakeland, which is nice. We did enjoy walking around the small town....

「The property is dated and could use refurbishment and it's underway. Mostly it needs to be brightened up by repainting and the carpet removed and or replaced. However, everything was clean including bedding, floors and furnishings. It was an older Ramada Inn with their older dark colors. My wife and I never felt uncomfortable and would/will stay there in the future. It's location is in an area of low income spread. We read all previous ratings before going there. 「Here’s how you can put that together: First, the hotel has no Wi-Fi, which prevents me from using my laptop to handle tomorrow’s work. Second, the mattress still has a plastic cover on it that hasn’t been removed. It’s just a thin sheet on top, and when I lie down, it feels damp and clammy. Every time I turn over, the plastic makes a loud noise, which really affects my sleep quality.」

「This place is run by an offsite group. The staff can’t do anything but ask someone offsite for what they’re supposed to do next. Totally misrepresented on website. Run down doesn’t begin to describe this place. Was told I would receive refund for all but first night after trying to check in and rejecting to stay there. Haven’t received a dime to date. Don’t walk, run away from this place.」

This time was different, when we checked in they tried to put us on the third floor and then told us the elevator was out of service and would be useable by Sun. It was still broken when we left today Tuesday. We never got any notice that it would be down at all. They did accommodate us on the first floor which was fine. But otherwise, if we came later we would not be able to get a ground floor room. So we being elderly would have to carry...
