Modern hotel close to city centre

Nice option not far from city centre, 10min walking. Room clean and comfortable. Parking place in front of hotel at 14€ No free water in the room, no frigo bar :(

Highly recommended

Superb hotel, if a little away from the main centre of town. Peace and quiet and large rooms. Only negative was an alarm went off for the room next to me, but this was soon fixed. Staff on duty 24 hours.

Good but basic hotel. Rooms quite small and not much storage space. No facility to make a hot drink in the room. Not far from city centre but the area is not great. On a noisy road with Building work and scrubland across the road. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was decent, although the restaurant was very busy at the weekend. We struggled to find somewhere to sit.

Nice and trendy but description not correct

The lobby and the hotel it self was really cool and trendy. It was pretty clean, only when we took the tv away from the wall ( you can move it around) when I saw it hasn’t been cleaned there for a while, The reason I give it less stars is because in here they always say the beds are one large bed, and I specially look for that when I order a room, but when we came we got a room with two single beds put together, I went to the lobby, we had a lot of luggage and were tired after a long drive, and the guy in the lobby was not that welcoming but okay with changing the room… BUT he sent me to 4 different rooms and all had the same… 2 single beds, in the end he got us an “upgrade” (only thing was the room was a tiny bit bigger and on the top floor) and was kinda like “well I should be charging you though”… but AGAIN two single beds. We couldn’t be bothered doing a room change for the fifth time so we just stayed there. The day after we asked if we could get one hour later checkout to take a shower and pack our bags, and he was kinda rude to my boyfriend and gonna charge us for that 20€… I explained that I was unhappy with the check in and all that, at the same time the manager was passing by and was very helpful and he let us have that extra hour so we were happy with the staff at that point

Clean and good looking hotel, good breakfast. Slow check in and bar, seems understaffed at night. Plus for rewarding customers for eco friendlyness when not wanting to change towels and clean rooms every day, but a minus for staff taking a large stack of napkins for wiping water off the floor, instead of a rag.

Modern Hotel in Essen

Modern hotel in Essen, comfortable bed and bathroom, breakfast quite good, central area in Essen. a few negative points: no gym, no desk or chair to work on in the room, only one person at reception so some queues at times for check-in and -out, no fridge or minibar in room, no housekeeping for first three days. generally nice though.
