「Beautiful spacious clean room. Very quiet despite cars going by. Staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. Food was great too. The on suite bathroom was immaculate. Couldn't falt anything. 」

「Our room seemed defunct of central heating ( dated radiators not working) and was reliant on a small , portable, oil filled radiator. Beds were comfortable. Shower ‘rose’ was seemingly blocked and only provided a ‘gentle’ flow of warm water whereas the taps in the washbasin gave decidedly hot water - odd. 「It was as nice as our memory of our first stay, when the sun shines there is only one place to be - on the terrace. Having said that it is very comfortable to be inside. It is a very friendly place to be to enjoy Cornwall.」

「Our room has the best view looking out to the beautiful Gyllngvase Beach and it is just around 8 mins walk to it. Nice breakfast and staff, room is clean and have everything you need. Town centre is also within walking distance.」

「Room was lovely, comfortable and classy. Decor was excellent and there were some excellent touches such as a beach bag and dry robes you could use while you stay. Even a stamped postcard to send home if you wish. Staff were excellent and food was good」

「Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help.」
