"The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was very clean and well organized. We loved all the extra amenities. We enjoyed having the beautiful onsen onsite with multiple baths - it was a great way to relax the muscles after walking and exploring all day!"
"Excellent service, front desk staff were very helpful especially with them helping us call train station to retrieve a bag we left at the station location. We would definitely stay here again, hotel location was convenient and close to what we wanted to visit."
"Property was extremely tidy and situated in a quiet offshoot between main shopping street and Pontocho alley. Great access to bus and train plus Gion District.
Room was extremely spacious, good amenities and friendly staff.
Highly recommended."
"Our stay here was absolutely amazing during Obon festival. It is walking distance from Kyoto station, two malls and 3 conscience stores within 5 min walking distance. The staff is kind and very helpful with providing any food recommendations and as well as quick guides (ie., direction and history) to near by events. The amenities were amazing and available on the lobby and encouraged to take what you need as a part of the eco friendly initiatives in the hotel. There is a public bath accessible for guests and massage chairs at a cost. There is a laundry change machine available on the first floor but I do recommend avoid using the laundry machines, if possible. There are only 5 machines with both wash and dry functions on the same machine so there is quite a bit of wait for a machine and after completing a wash/dry cycle, your clothes are still wet. Otherwise, the entire stay was amazing and would definitely stay here again. "
Imagine life as it was during the Taisho Period as you explore this preserved Kyoto alley, complete with traditional teahouses, inns and kimono-clad hostesses.
Observe traditional Shinto architecture, pretty lanterns and sacred rituals at this historic shrine, home of the annual Gion Festival and Kyoto’s favorite cherry blossom park.
