This place is a serious find, loved it from start to finish. Beautiful bar, restaurant and rooms, everything was perfect, I was massively impressed. And to the person who checked us in (feel bad I didn’t get their name) and also served us in the restaurant was literally like Mary Poppins, big thank you. We will most certainly return.

Not quite the country pub I'd anticipated. Room was small and the bath tiny. My husband had to crouch to fit under the shower Food average and not especially hot. Breakfast good Wine overpriced Useful place to stay for visiting Portsmouth but too corporate styled for me

Åk hit och bo här

Rum 31: 5/5. Badkar, allt ingick (badsalt, kvalitetsprodukter och morgonrockar av bra kvalitet). Rummet hade superskön och fin soffa, sängen fantastisk och alla utskick/tyger var i topskick. Litet kylskåp, bra tekoppar. Vi saknade inget och vi sov otroligt bra. Väldigt bra frukost. Extra poäng för fruktsallad som var färsk och full english breakfast var bäst! Jag rekommenderar verkligen, återkommer mer än gärna. Alla tidigare 10/10 betyg stämmer väl. Emsworth är väl värt ett besök vid hamnen och tehusen där också

A true gem, and one we would happily visit again!

We are so glad that we found The Ropemaker! The service was amazing - everyone was so friendly and polite. We had our dog with us, and he was made to feel very welcome and made a fuss of, and received his own welcome gift, and a large bed and bowl set to use during his stay. We booked a 'Fancy Room' and it was so comfortable! The bed was large and we slept very well each night. The bar service was very efficient and friendly, and the food was delicious, at both breakfast and dinner. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, or to visit again.
