"My daughter and I stayed in the Orme lodge, it was lovely. Nice and warm, squirrels outside the windows. Hot tub is just a hot tub - not one with bubbles! so don't look for a button to press lol Very peaceful. If you go with kids (i went with teenager) then maybe take a laptop to watch netflix etc on. wifi connection great. "What a Gem of a Hotel, from the very first moment that we walked up to the reception to check in the staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The room was much better than we expected and not only did the bathroom have a walk in shower but it also had a bath (very big), the bed was large and very comfortable and everything worked just as it should, we tried the breakfast that was superb and plentiful. We had our evening meals in the hotel each evening as the menus and the food was vary good. We travel quite often within the Uk, and we have to say this is the best hotel that we have stayed in during the last ten years. It has a lot of character and if you are in the Chester area and need a good hotel at a very reasonable price then look no further. 10/10 all round."

"Breakfast was one of the best I've had. Cooked breakfast was lovely and I wouldn't normally bother but it was excellent. Staff were very helpful. What I also liked was it wasn't overly busy and that was 9am. Normally you have to book a slot but I was told as my breakfast was included I didn't need to. "
